We chose the Hotel Iberostar Royal Cupido from our luxembourgish flight company Luxair. Besides its location just in front of the sea, this hotel offers a lot more.

The Hotel Iberostar Royal Cupido****

This four star hotel is especially recommended for adults and couples without children, because it is a “no-children” hotel. This means that you can only stay there when you’re older than 15 years. Some people might think that this is discriminatory, but I don’t think so. To be honest, I wasn’t informed about this fact when I booked the hotel. But this had a positive side effect. Some people just want to relax during their holidays and I have to admit that screaming and running children can be very annoying, especially near the pool or in the hotel restaurant. So for me, this is a really positive point of the hotel.

Room

I stayed in a Double Sea View room. I really loved this room. The whole hotel has been renovated in 2010-2011, so it was really “new” when I was there. All the rooms are decorated in a very modern way, which I liked very much. Something really special is the shower. You enter it through the bathroom, but when you’re standing in the shower, you can look into the room, because there is a window glass. For a couple, this is not so bad, but I think for friends who are spending a trip together, this can be embarrassing.

Spa

During our stay in the hotel, I booked also a spa treatment. This was a massage for the back. As I have a scoliosis, I have to pay attention with this sorts of massages, but the women asked immediately if I have any problems with my back or something else. So I told her about my problem, and I got a special massage especially for persons with a scoliosis. Besides this, the massage was so relaxing and the whole atmosphere was really calmative.

Situation

 The hotel is located juts 20 meters away from the sea, so basically you just have to cross the seafront and you’re on the beach. Beside this, it is located not that far away from the party center of Majorca, but far enough to enjoy silent nights. You need a 5-minut walk to get to the Ballermann 6 and to all the discos and clubs. So for me, this hotel is located perfectly.

In conclusion, after staying there for a week, I can highly recommend this hotel, especially if you’re young and want to party and to relax.
